My Journey
Diagnosis:
Stage 2B, ER+ PR- HER2+, diagnosed February 2018

chemotherapy:
6 rounds of TCHP; a total of 11 rounds of Herceptin
Surgery:
Single mastectomy with implant reconstruction
Hormonal Therapies:
20mg Tamoxifen for 10 years
And I am here to share my story!

Fatalistic comedy and dismissive jokes are my best coping mechanisms, and far more comforting than anyone telling me how strong I am or to trust in a larger plan.

I still don't have the right words to express the shock I've been dealing with since receiving my diagnosis in February, especially considering that there's no history of breast cancer in my family whatsoever.
Whenever I'm struggling, my impulse is to dive headfirst into internet research, and this time was no different. However, I wasn't able to find much of what I was looking for.
As you might expect, most firsthand accounts of breast cancer treatment come from older women, which I had a difficult time relating to.
There aren't a lot of Cool Alternative Millennials With Cancer telling their stories.
