About the event

Join us for a virtual class focused on building strength and increasing flexibility after DIEP Flap surgery. Even if you've decided not to undergo surgery, you're still welcome to join us!

All are welcome. This class is especially beneficial for anyone less than 90 days out from surgery

We kindly request that you seek clearance from your surgeon before beginning any movement activities. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we want to ensure that you engage in activities appropriate for your individual circumstances. Join us and let's embark on this journey towards strength and flexibility together!

This class is designed to help women who have undergone DIEP flap surgery improve their range of motion and reduce pain. The class will focus on gentle stretches that are appropriate for people who are still healing. The instructor will also teach yoga breathing techniques to help reduce stress and improve circulation.

The class will consist of deep breathing and gentle yoga postures to help with the discomforts associated with DIEP flap surgery/recovery.

We will also work on strengthening the areas that need extra attention after the procedure. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary.  Jen had DMX and DIEP Flap last August and finished radiation in December 2021.

She has over 20 years of experience leading fitness and movement and is a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist.

Class disclaimer: It is the participant's responsibility to consult with their physician prior to taking the class. Participants recognize and understand the risks of physical activity and agree to not participate in the class if their medical condition directly threatens their health or safety.
