About the event
Millions of Americans get nuclear scans for cancer, heart problems, and brain diseases every year. Extravasations occur when a radioactive drug is accidentally injected into healthy arm tissue instead of a vein prior to a nuclear scan. Extravasations are medical errors but there are no federal rules that require hospitals and clinics to report them - not even to the patient.
During this webinar you will learn what an extravasation is, hear from a patient who experienced an extravasation, and get the information you need to protect yourself during a scan.
After registering here, you will receive an additional registration form via email. To receive details and join the webinar, you must complete the form.
