Open Mic Poetry

SBC welcomes those in and outside of the cancer community to join us for our spoken word open mic during National Poetry Month! All are welcome to attend!  This is a safe space to speak the wins and woes of not only cancer but love, joy, grief and other elements of the human experience.

You'll be heard and feel seen with Breast Cancer advocate Deltra James of The Beatnik Boob as emcee. 

We will share a night of poetry, play a few games, and have a few prizes. 

Sign up now to reserve your spot and step up to the mic (or have one of our poets recite

your poem for you)! Even if you do not have a poem to read or share, you can join as an attendee to listen to the beautiful spoken word.

Welcome to the SBC Poets Society.

Poems can be about breast cancer if you would like but it is not required. The main purpose is to express anything you would like to share through words. 

Poems will be published on our SBC Website and shared on The Beatnik Boob IG channel, please submit it here.
