About the event

Join us for a 90 minute writing workshop, led by the incredible Thomas Dooley.

How can we dial down the noise in our daily lives to listen to the story emerging within ourselves? In this interactive session, we will come together to reflect on the personal narratives that give shape and meaning to our lives and find community in the experiences we share.

This is an open, interactive, and emotional workshop – so it is helpful to be in a private location during these sessions.

Reflect and Recharge is an interactive writing group where participants are encouraged to write and share their expressions in a safe and supportive space. Because of the interactive aspect of the group, we ask all participants to find a place where they can turn on their camera and sound for the full 90 minutes

For the past decade, Thomas Dooley has pioneered the healing arts as a poet in residence at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center, using expressive writing to restore dignity among patients and caregivers and bolster resiliency among clinicians and staff. He has presented internationally on the subject of illness and poetry and his debut collection, Trespass (Harper Perennial, 2014), was a winning selection for the National Poetry Series.

Cost: Free, and donations are greatly appreciated!
