About the event

Join Survivingbreastcancer.org and Tami Eagle of Light Up MBC for a panel discussion. Learn about Light Up MBC's incredible work, and join us for another metastatic breast cancer conversation.

What is Light Up MBC? #LightUpMBC is one of several campaigns METAvivor patient advocates have voluntarily worked on to lessen the disparity of research funding given to stage IV MBC treatment options. Less than 5% of overall breast cancer research funding goes to researching metastatic disease. Instead, the primary focus is typically on prevention and early detection, which does not help those already diagnosed. If we can solve Stage IV, we can end death from breast cancer.

Meet Tami Eagle: Tami Eagle is the Founder and Creator of The Eagle Method, a framework for learning to effectively adapt to change and embrace uncertainty, so that people can thrive at home and at work. At the age of 41, with no family history, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Upon diagnosis, she decided to turn her energy towards advocacy. Tami generously donates her time to volunteer for organizations that raise funds for MBC research and mentors the newly diagnosed.  She is the Producer and Co-Host of #LightUpMBC Live, an annual broadcast that shines a light on the disease. Cost: Free, and donations are greatly appreciated!

A zoom meeting ID and password will be emailed to you after you complete the registration.

Living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) requires unique, tailored approaches that often differ from those diagnosed at an earlier stage breast cancer. Survivingbreastcancer.org is committed to addressing the gaps between early and advance stage breast cancer to improve education, support, and resources for our MBC community.
